Hot! Hot! Hot!
(So this was suppose to go above the slide show but I didn't do it in the right order, and was too lazy to retype this so this is how they stay.)
Well I have been a terrible blogger these past few weeks, but somehow it seems that this ends up last on the priority list and another day passes without me posting anything. So today I am going to try to give a quick summary of the past few weeks in the few remaining minutes I have left of naptime.
We went to the doctor for Ethan's 6 month appointment and he weighed in at a whopping 20 lbs. 14 oz. and is now 26 1/2 inches long. That puts him in the 90% for weight and the 50% for height (YEAH!). Dr. Mishu says that he is the size of a 10 month old (no problem with food here) and she said he had a nice shaped head (I guess she sees all types!). He is still not the tallest kid around but considering he was only 18 1/4 in long 6 months ago we are pretty proud of the 8 1/4 inches he has grown.
Ethan got his first cold the day before we went to the doctor and it got worse the day after. He had a runny/stuffy nose and didn't feel so great but we survived and I just tell myself we are building that immune system.
It has been VERY HOT the last few days, so Ethan and I have been hanging out in the pool or inside for the most part, but we still get in our morning walk/jog and Ethan gets to see mommy looking pretty scarey all red and sweaty. (amazing how he still wants to hug me and doesn't seem to mind the sweat). Guess that is all the exciting info I have for now.

Happy 4th of July
So I found out very quickly that Ethan is a true Panos-Johnson over the weekend. He loved the fireworks shows that we went to. He would follow the light all the way up and then watch it explode into lots of pretty colors, and the booms and pops didn't seem to bother him in the least. He made his daddy and grandpa proud (won't be long before he wants to light fireworks too).
We had a 4th of July party at my parents house Saturday night and it was lots of fun! Great food including homemade ice cream (can't beat that) and lots of friends and family. Ethan did great and even made it till midnight that night before going to sleep. (Bad mommy!)
Ethan's new favorite food is Zwieback toast and he is quite funny to watch as he feeds himself! I must say if anyone is considering trying to give it to their child, strip them down to the diaper and strap them in the highchair because it is a mess! He is also sitting up really well now by himself. His two teeth are coming thru now and can be seen when he smiles and he continues to be more and more fun as the days go by. We go swimming in the mornings now and he is doing better with going under the water, but still gets a mouth full most times. Can't believe how much I love the little guy and how much fun we have together. We go to the doctor tomorrow for 6 month shots (yuck!) will see how big he is getting to be. Last time we went he was in the 90% for weight and 25% for height. We are keeping our fingers crossed the height % goes up, but love him either way.

Happy Half Birthday
So yesterday was Ethan's half birthday, and I had planned to do something to celebrate, but he was in a crabby mood (it's the teeth) and so he celebrated with a 3 hour nap (or maybe I celebrated, either way...) Our friends Jon and Rebekah came by to get there dog that we were watching for them while they were in the hospital and I was able to see Macey again. It is amazing to me looking at her, how quickly they grow up! I can not even remember Ethan being that small (and he was 2 lbs smaller) and it has only been 6 months. It reminds me to try to take in as much as possible every day because it will pass so quickly and he will be the one with the baby before I know it. Anyway enough getting depressed about him growing up. I have had such a wonderful time in the last 6 months watching him change and grow and can only imagine what the next 6 months and years hold. I love being a mom and thank God every day for the sweet baby he has given me. Here are a few pics of the things Ethan is doing now.

I don't know why but I think he is so cute in his carseat.
So happy to go for a ride!
Cool just like daddy
"Daddy I want to be just like you someday."
"STOP TAKING PICTURES MOM"
So strong!
Sweet Macey Jane Davis less than 1 day old
